Wolf Laurel Campsite

Today we took a well deserved rest and travelled around 4 miles to this campsite. It's in the most beautiful spot, on top of a mountain with a view. We are hoping that our bodies will heal from yesterday, that Max's blisters will get better soon. I had a really great campfire going which I set up all by myself! I guess i still have the skills I learned at Girl Scouts. It has been a really great day, can't wait for tomorrow.
Much love,
Sara

  1. Hi you guys, love your pictures. So sorry to hear about your feet Max, take care of those blisters, don't want them to get infected. Hey Sara tell Acorn I've been reading her blog and that I say hi and wish her luck. She sounds really nice. How are you doing Sara? I think about you all the time and it sounds like quite an adventure. I would love to send some packages so let me know where and I will. It will be nice to stop on Friday and get a hot meal and a shower. Thanks for keeping in touch, means so much to me. Love you...love your momma

  2. Sara and Max-Thanks for the blog. I am Joanna's mom that you met at the Springer Shelter the pre-first night. The girls haven't updated their site yet, so I appreciate your posts. It gives me an idea of what is going on....happy healing! enjoy the rest...

  3. Hi Sara - I was thrilled to hear you are taking this adventure. Your mention of Girl Scouts brought me to tears. Even though I might have taught you some life skills, it takes your determination to go on an adventure like this one. I look forward to following your trip. Love, your Girl Scout Leader Lorraine.
